I was so excited to display my artwork at the local library this March, that I decided to create a piece of art just for them. Inspired by the motivational library posters of my childhood, I created a poster with my particular brand of humor. The READ posters were popular when I was a kid, but there were a ton of awesome library posters designed throughout the years.
I created an impish dragon devouring some good books. The dragon was designed out of type, a style I have used several times in the past and that seemed to fit for a library poster. I had a lot of fun putting all my favorite books in the pile of treasure underneath the dragon! Psst – the dragon is reading “How to Tame Your Dragon.”
